Thalía drops her label, and plans to record in English, teams Up with Robbie Williams

After 10 years with EMI Music, the Mexican singer says goodbye to the music labe and plans on recording her next album in English under her husband's label

After a 10-year relationship with EMI Music, Mexican singer Thalía fulfilled her contract with the company and is now ready to come back with her own material under Casablanca Records, owned by her husband, Tommy Mottola. The new album will include a duet with singer Robbie Williams.  With the recent release of her album Lunada, the 37-year-old singer ended her contract with EMI Music, who recognized that the album was not well promoted since it coincided with the months after her pregnancy when she contracted Lyme disease. Tommy Mottola and Thalia- Mottola sells New York Estate For $15 Million

Music mogul TOMMY MOTTOLA and his pop singer wife THALIA have reportedly sold their sprawling upstate New York home for $15 million (GBP10.1 million).
According to the New York Post, the 12-acre home, located in the city's outskirts of Westchester, was completed in 2006. The 15-room residence in North Salem briefly went on the market that year for $21 million (GBP14.2 million). It was re-listed one year later with a final asking price of just below $18 million (GBP12.1 million). The house includes five bedrooms, a gym, fireplaces, and views overlooking the Hudson Valley. "Será Porque Te Amo" for 15 days ?!?!

The Channel News "Tele9"spoke about the debut of music video of "Será Porque Te Amo." The channel said that the song can debut in the next 15 days. The fact is not confirmed, for the time being nothing more than a rumor. Several details make us believe that the news is not true, because not even been commented on a possible recording of this video. The song "Será Porque Te Amo" is a cover of Italian hit "Sara Perché Ti Amo" and the group Ricchi Poveri.

Thalia and Yolanda Andrade Make Up

Despite having hated each other for years, reports are coming in that Thalia and Yolanda Andrade were hanging out together on a shopping spree in New York. Thalía is suffering from Lyme disease

Thalía contracted Lyme disease, which is transmitted by ticks. Fortunately, it was discovered quickly, and the singer, as well as her mother, Yolanda Miranda, were able to receive antibiotics in time. Al rojo vivo (Telemundo), confirmed that the 37-year-old Mexican was bitten by a tick in her home, outside of New York City, and a few months ago, while nursing her baby girl, she felt very fatigued, and went in for a medical exam. In most cases, the bacteria behind this malady, which is called Borrelia Burgdoferi, is usually found in wild animals, and when the ticks bite human beings, the disease can be confused for simply a skin rash. THALIA HAS LYME DISEASE

Mexican singer Thalia has been diagnosed with Lyme disease after she was bitten by a tick. The 37-year-old star and her mother were both bitten in New York this summer (08). Both sought medical advice after feeling fatigued and noticing rashes on their skin. The disease can lead to nerve problems if not treated quickly enough. Thalia and her mother are both expected to make a full and speedy recovery, according to Telemundo

Tommy Mottola and Thalía Plan Playdates With Marc and Jennifer

Having celebrated their daughter Sabrina Sakaë's first birthday on October 7th, music producer Tommy Mottola and singer Thalía are thrilled with the course that their lives have taken. With Thalía managing to shed the baby weight within the year by combining a diet made up of "the boring stuff, broccoli, and vegetables...[and] lots of water" with a routine that has her doing "yoga [and] pilates two times a week," the couple are focusing their time together as a family. In fact, Tommy, 59, shares that Sabrina "completely occupies our lives. We try not to do anything without her, most of the day, every day." As a first-time parent, Thalía's baby interest has grown as the couple believe they have become "so suited to other people's kids," finding themselves stopping to admire other babies in public. "When we go out and we see a baby, we ask, 'My God, look at her. How old is she? What is she doing?,'" says the 37-year-old proud mama.

Recently, Tommy and Thalía spent the day with close friends Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, who are parents to 7 ½-month-old twins Max David and Emme Maribel. As parents to "beautiful" babies, the change in Jennifer and her newfound happiness did not go unnoticed, reveals Thalía. Proof that times have changed, Tommy -- who calls Jennifer a "great mother" -- admits that with Marc the two "always used to talk business," however, these days the topic of conversations tends to center around "what we did with the baby today and what we'll do tomorrow." 'Casita Maria' honored Thalia with the Gold Medal in Honor in New York

Casita Maria awarded Thalia the prestigious Gold Medal of Honor ats it Annual Fiesta Gala at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel last night at the New York City. Also honored this year were Pepita Serrano and  Joanna Caparos. The Casita Award is bestowed annually upon three individuals who have made outstanding humanitarian, philantropic and cultural contributons to the community at large and to the Hispanic community in particular.

Thalia Celebrate the month of the Hispanic Heritage with outstanding Police of the New York

Yesterday, Thalía was guest of honor in an event of the New York Police Department (NYPD) in its central office at 1 Police Plaza to celebrate the month of the Hispanic Heritage. Thalía,invited by the Commissioner of the Police Ray Kelly, received a great round of applause and its extraordinary contribution and support to the New York Police Department. Thalía, very emotional, accepted a jacket with the abbreviations NYPD as gift of the police department and also gave a decoration to each of four outstanding Hispanic polices of NYPD. Congratulations Thalía !

Thalia receives statuette Orgullosamente Latino 2008

Thursday, October 2, at 12:30 am, while the city of New York, United States, the first statuette proudly of Latino, The Audience Award 2008, 5th. Delivery, was delivered by Fredy Maldonado, who traveled from San Salvador, to the City of Skyscrapers and rewarding award to Thalia.
Fredy Maldonado waited for hours to Thalia in the building of ABC News Radio in Manhattan. Daniel Habif plugged the eyes of Fredy, and together they entered the radio booth where the interpreter of  'Tú y Yo' and I recorded once a week Thalia Connection program.

Just saw his idol, Fredy hugged and kissed the artist. Immediately, he began to rely on the much admired, how it has followed since her inception, and what we are enamored of their simple, her way of being and her closeness to God.
Thalia also was moved and left no words of thanks and affection of her unconditional fan. Act followed, Fredy handed the statuette to otroga the leading channel for Latin Music, which lifted Thalia, Thalia thanked every fan who voted for she, especially in a category as important as what is the Trayectora Latina

Six Simple Rules: Thalia

Mexican singer, actress and mogul Thalía Sodi, 37, just keeps adding to her resume—she's now mami to 11-month-old Sabrina Sakaë, whom she calls a "mini-Thali." How does she wear so many hats and still keep her head on straight? Here are her six simple rules to live by...

1. Reinvent yourself. Being on this earth gives us the chance to keep getting our feet wet in new puddles. I've pretty much done it all. But as a mom, I've discovered a whole new world through Sabrina's eyes, her hands and her sounds.

2. And your work. Maria la del Barrio [one of Thalia's most famous telenovelas] could potentially be a hit if turned into a series here, a la Ugly Betty. But it would need the right script, storyline and legwork. American audiences are picky, so it wouldn't be easy, but it could work.

3. Make the most out of your bathroom. I love taking a bath—it's my oasis. I'll put some salts in hot water, and if I have some rose petals, I'll sprinkle them around, light my candles and throw some soft music on. Then I can focus on my breathing.

4. In fact, make it all yours. They key to my long-lasting marriage with Tommy Mottola is that we have common goals, but we respect our space. If I want to have coffee with my friends, he's okay with it. If he wants to smoke cigars with his, I'm fine with that too. And, of course, we have separate bathrooms.

5. Don't be a technophobe! The recording industry has totally imploded because of the digital era, but technology can work in your favor. My music gets to the whole world in seconds. No more going from pueblito to pueblito to promote. I even had my fans pick the first single, "Ten Paciencia," off my new album Lunada, by voting on my website.

6. Some things are timeless, though. I'm a die-hard fan of scrapbooking. I love cutting up pictures and putting little bows and signs all over them. I'm a pro. I even have an office that's more like a storage room for all my items--drawers and drawers arranged by event, like vacations and birthdays.

Thalía’s Thankful Message to Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors (HOLA)

Monday, September 15, the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors (HOLA) honored Thalía with the recognition of “2008 HOLA Ilka Award”, for her humanitarian service, in the Novena Gala Annual de Premios y Beneficiencia. The “Ilka Award”, in honor to Ilka Tanya Payán, founder of HOLA, has been granted in previous occasions to recognized Latin personalities like Danny Rivera, Rosie Pérez, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Esaí Morales, Antonio Bandera, Alfred Molina, Mercedes Ruehl and Sarita Montiel, among others. This year, besides Thalía, also was recognized the actor John Leguizamo. Thalía could not appear to receive the recognition in person and in its place the Horacio “El Pelón” Ontiveros, who participates with Thalía every week in her radio program “Conexión Thalía”. Thalía give us the following message:
“Due to health questions I could not be present in the Novena Gala Annual of HOLA. I am very thankful by the recognition that I received from this organization and I hope that it serves as inspiration to make this world to help to our fellow and give him hands that needs it. It's Thalía pregnant again ?!?!

There are rumours that the Mexican singer Thalía can be pregnant, rumour come from a program of television of the United States. Apparently, the wife of Tommy Mottola wants a sibling for Sabrina Sakaë. A reporter asked if she is or not pregnant, and Thalía did not answer to the question, but she affirmed that she would like to have more children. In October Sabrina going to be 1 year old and Mottola is already preparing a mega party for the small one.

Thalia and the Cristina Show scored major Tv ratings !!!

Thalia's interview and performance on the Cristina show, which aired on Monday, July 28th, on the Univision network were a big success. The euphoria to see Thalia on the Cristina show was so great that tv ratings for the show for the most important Hispanic tv markets compared to the ratings obtained   by english language shows on the main tv networks in the same time slot. For example, the Cristina show with Thalia ranked #1 in rating in Chicago and Miami in their respective time slot, even up against english language shows on ABC, CBS and NBC. The show also have impressive ratings in the following markets:

Thalía and Daddy Yankee 'Ten Paciencia Remix'

They’re practically day and night, two worlds apart, but that didn’t stop Thalía and Daddy Yankee from recording a remix for the song "Ten paciencia", the first single on the Mexican singer’s new disc, Lunada that’ll hit airwaves starting today. The pop star and the reggaetónero proved to be a great duo. "I’ve always admired Daddy Yankee and his success,” said Thalía yesterday at a press conference. "It’s such a joy for me to do this with him"
