Thalia wants to reunite her family at Christmas

The Mexican singer Thalia wants her entire family gathered in New York to celebrate the holiday season, has even thought about inviting her sister Laura Zapata to celebrate with the first Christmas Sodi Sabrina Sakaë.

Thalía’s Mom Says the Baby and Singer Are Identical

Yolanda Miranda, mom of Thalía, said that her granddaughter, Sabrina Sakaë, and the Mexican singer are total look-alikes. “There’s going to be another Thalía. There’s already another Thalía,” she gushed on the show El Gordo y la Flaca (Univisión).
Even though Tommy Mottola, 58, and his wife’s newborn is only 10 days old, the proud grandmother claims that the mother and daughter are identical. When Miranda compared a picture of Thalía at 15 days old with a picture of the new baby, she noticed the resemblance. “The baby is a beauty,” the singer’s mom added.
The grandma also mentioned that she and Mottola were present when Thalía, 35, gave birth to little Sabrina. According to Miranda, the baby recognizes the voice of her dad, who sang and spoke to his new daughter before she was born. The mother of the also actress added that the newborn was with Thalía last Saturday during her radio show Conexión Thalía, which she braodcasts from her home, and that listeners could hear Sabrina. “The baby was there and she made a little noise,” Miranda said.

The television journalist and driver Mexican Gerardo Alfaro 34 years died on the evening of Tuesday, October 15, 2007 as a result of his suffering from lymphatic cancer in the City of México.Thalía sends heartfelt condolences to all family and friends , and wrote a farewell message which reads: "a dear journalist friend of shows, which traveled to places such as Brazil, Argentina and Central America has left us. Thalía Is a Mommy!

Two days ago morning, Thalía Sodi, 35, gave birth to a little girl who will be called Sabrina Sakaë. The girl’s name, Sabrina Sakaë, has two meanings. The first name means “princess” in English, and the second means “prosperity” in Japanese.
Her publicist sent People En Espanol.com a press release at 4:15 p.m., Eastern Time, confirming that the baby was born. The press release says that Thalía and her husband, music executive Tommy Mottola, 58, are parents to a healthy baby, weighing 8 pounds, 4 ounces.

“Mother, father and baby Sabrina are all healthy and very happy and will be residing at their ranch in Colorado,” the singer’s publicist informs. It’s still not known if the baby was born in New York or Colorado.

All of the family is ecstatic with Sabrina’s arrival, and mother and baby girl are in perfect health. Congratulations to Thalia, her husband Tommy and all of the Mottola Sodi family!

Thalía's TV Return Just a Rumor

Rumors that Thalía is making a comeback to Mexican TV with a 20-episode telenovela produced by Salvador Mejía have spread faster than the plague. But Peopleenespanol.com confirmed that her fans will be disppointed, because it's just speculation.
"They're just rumors; Salvador had an idea to do a series with Thalía [three years ago]...Also, telenovelas generally aren't 20 episodes long," a representative from Mejía's office told us.
The 35-year-old singer's agent also confirmed "María Mercedes" will not be returning to the small screen. "At the moment, Thalía hasn't committed to anything since she's having her baby in a week and a half," her agent told our website. Information circulating on the internet claimed that Mrs. Mottola would bring back the character of a young orphan who searches for her parents all over Mexico.

In giving to the March of Dimes, my fans can help support vital research and programs to help babies and their families,” the artist expressed.
The wife of Tommy Mottola, 58, joined the organization in 2005 with the hopes of educating women about how to maintain a healthy pregnancy and avoid premature births. As part of the campaign I Want My 9 Months, the vocalist encourages women to take action pre-pregnancy by speaking to a doctor about the risks of preterm labor. The March of Dimes foundation will use donations collected at the virtual baby shower to fund education programs, research, community service and advocacy.

Thalia Invites Fans to Help Give Every Baby A Healthy Start Through the First-Ever Virtual Baby Shower on AOL Latino

Songstress Thalía, 36, has been the recipient of many baby showers in the later months of her pregnancy and one was yesterday, September 19th. The online shower, which was benefit the March of Dimes, was take place at AOL Latino. Thalía, a spokesperson for the national voluntary health agency since 2005, stands behind their mission to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. She is asking her fans to donate to March of Dimes instead of purchasing gifts for her and her little girl. Thalía said,

The best gift you can give a baby is a full nine months of pregnancy.  In giving to the March of Dimes, my fans can help support vital research and programs to help babies and their families.

Songstress Thalía, 36, was spotted arriving at a baby shower event in NYC earlier today. Her first child, a girl, is due October 2nd. Danny DeVito entrepreneur was spotted going to Thalia's shower with Tommy Mottola  Thalia's current hubby. Random friends indeed ... but the pint-sized actor-turned-alcohol was a guest at the couple's wedding in 2000. No limoncellos in sight though -- DeVito was only there to "have a cup of tea with the ladies."
