Cooperation Thalia with
Alessandra
Mexican singer Alessandra Rosaldo today announced the release of her second
album, "Rompecorazones" (Heartbreaker), in which she collaborated with her
compatriot, Thalía, with the lyrics of three songs which she wrote.
"i'm very excited with this record, since it will be my return to the stage
after several years. The songs are incredible. The single "Amame, bésame" (Love
Me, Kiss Me) is very beautiful. Thalia wrote it, as well as two other songs
which I included in this record", said Rosaldo in a press conference.
The also presenter and actress from Mexico stated that she has known Thalia for
a long time, which made the collaboration easier.
"Her first producer was my papa (Jaime Rosaldo) in the television contest "Juguemos
a cantar", in 1984. We are not great friends, no do we see each other often, but
we respect each other and we got together through the record company", she
explained.
Rosaldo stated that what the wife of U.S. impressario Tommy Mottola did was to
adapt three lyrics to Spanish from three songs in English which Rosaldo had
already released on one of her records.
"I knew that she had composed or collaborated with other composers for her own
productions, and the truth is I did not know that she wrote so well. I was very
surprised because I liked the three lyrics a lot. It is a very worthy work, and
so my first single is from her", the singer emphasized.
The pop singer, who has worked previously in telenovelas such as "Amarte es mi
pecado" (2004), stated that with this record she returns to the stage after
bringing out her first solo album, "Alter ego", en 2004.
For almost 10 years, Alessandra Rosaldo was part of the duo "Sentidos Opuestos",
which had great hits on the radio, such as "¿Dónde están?" and "Soñadoras",
until they broke up in 2002.
With "Rompecorazones" Rosaldo hopes to begin a tour through Mexico at the end of
this same year.
She debuted as an actress in 1999 with the Mexican telenovela "DKD... sueños de
juventud" and had continued in television activities in recent years.
